Roero Arneis D.O.C.G. 2015 " San Giuliano" - 0,75 l bottle. PREMIATO ALLA DOUJA D'OR

Roero Arneis comes from a long tradition of wine, forgotten for many years, but rediscovered in the last few decades, and recently given D.O.C.G recognition.
Our Arneis is produced from the grapes which grow on the Bricco San Giuliano, harvested and selected by hand. Vinified at a constant temperature in stainless steel vats until bottling.

Cultivation.

Bottle ageing.
Up to 3 years.

Analytical Characteristics.
Alcohol 13,5% vol.

Appearance.
Pale straw yellow colour with goldenish lights.

Nose.
Flowery and fruity, with light notes of hawthorn, apple, pear and almond.

Palate.
Warm, dry, smooth and fresh. Flavoursome, full-bodied and somewhat lingering.

Serving Temperature.
10°- 12° C.

To accompany starters and fish.

Barbera d'Asti D.O.C.G. Superiore 2016

Barbera d'Asti D.O.C.G. Superiore 2016 "Bricco Cappelletta" - 0,75 l bottle.

On the old vines which grow on the Bricco Cappelletta, only the biggest clusters of grapes ripen, and the best of these are then hand-picked at harvest time. The wine from them, after careful vinification, is fined for about a year in oak barrels before bottling.

Nose.
flowery, intensely fruity and vinous, with notes of cherry, plum and hints of almond.

Palate.
Dry, warm and smooth. Sharp and quite tannic and spirited. Elegant structure and body.

18°- 20°.

Nebbiolo d'Alba D.O.C.

Nebbiolo (pure). Clarified and stabilized in oak barrels.

Appearance.
Rich ruby red colour with garnet lights.
Nose.
Floral notes of geranium and violet. Fruity notes of bilberry, raspberry and wild strawberry.
Palate.
Dry, warm and fairly smooth. Fresh, tannic and flavoursome with attractive, spicy notes. Fine, elegant structure.
Serving Temperature.
16° - 18°.
Couplings.
With tagliolini pasta, with white truffles, agnolotti pasta with juices from the roast, red meat roasts, game or with seasoned cheeses.

Vijà
In the evening the family gathered in the cowshed that was heated by animals that adjoined the kitchen. The men from halmet afterwards joined in with idle talk and card games. The elderly used to tell stories about “masche” (fantasy characters that scared the children), war stories and stories that were read from books. It was a “cowshed theatre”.
The elderly women from the house spun the silk, the younger ones made th scapin, knitted socks. Then the guests were served wine, dry chestnuts and “turcet d’meira. (Corn flour biscuits).

Cisterna d'Asti D.O.C. Superiore

Cisterna d'Asti D.O.C. Superiore 2012-2013 "Bricco Martina" - 0,75 l bottle.

Recently given D.O.C recognition, Cisterna d’Asti comes from a long established tradition. The wine expresses the strong character of the region’s typical Croatina grapes from which it is obtained, in the intensity of its flavours and perfumes, which are balanced by lengthy clarification in oak barrels.

Croatina (pure). Clarified and stabilized in oak barrels.

A careful cultivation in vineyard affords not to use chemicals. All the production is obtained by property vineyards, in Cisterna d'Asti and Saint Damiano d'Asti.

Bottle ageing.
Until 8-10 years.

Analytical Characteristics.
Alcohol 13.0% vol.

Appearance.
Intense ruby red in colour, with garnet lights.

Nose.
speziato, leggermente fruttato, etereo, ampio con note di frutta cotta, vaniglia, legno e pepe verde.

Palate.
Warm, dry, smooth and fresh. Tannic and full of flavour. Full-bodied, with elegant structure and good finish.

Serving Temperature.
20°- 22° C.

Monferrato Rosso D.O.C. Sivu

Monferrato Rosso D.O.C. 2008 "Sivu" - 0,75 l bottle.

La Pergola’s own creation from a judicious blend of some of the finest wines of the estate: Barbera, Bonarda and Nebbiolo, vinified separately and subsequently assembled and clarified in barrels for several months. To be enjoyed after at least 5 years in the bottle, when mature.

Piemonte D.O.C. Brachetto 2016 - 0,75 l bottle.

Naturally effervescent red wine from aromatic Bracchetto grapes, the result of long tradition and care taken in the vineyard and during the process of vinification.

A careful cultivation in vineyard affords not to use chemicals. All the production is obtained by property vineyards, in San Damiano d'Asti.

Bottle ageing.
Up to 2 years.

Analytical Characteristics.
Alcohol 6,00% vol.

Appearance.
Pale ruby colour. Slightly effervescent froth.

Nose.
Very aromatic, with floral and fruity notes of roses and raspberries.

Palate.
Sweet, quite smooth and fresh. Delicate flavour and good length.

Serving Temperature.
8°- 10° C.

Couplings.
Goes well with any dessert, but particularly those with cream, also petits fours, almond or nut cake.

Analytical Characteristics.
Alcohol 13,50% vol.

Appearance.
Ruby red colour with garnet lights.

Nose.
Very aromatic, with floral notes of roses and delicate fruity suggestions of strawberry and raspberry. Also notes of stewed fruit and cherry jam.

Palate.
Sweet and mellow. Quite fresh though not very tannic. A robust, flavoursome and agreeably lingering wine with an intense bouquet.

Serving Temperature.
8°-18° C.

Couplings.
Accompanies chocolate desserts; petits fours; desserts containing spiced, dried or candied fruit.
